Sophie Coulombeau is Senior Lecturer in English Literature and Creative Writing at the Centre for Eighteenth-Century Studies, University of York. Her research interests include women’s writing, naming and identity, reading practices, and the lives and writings of the Burney family. She was Principal Investigator on Collecting Charles Burney: A Catalogue of Correspondence (University of York, 2021) and Co-Investigator on Unlocking the Mary Hamilton Papers (University of Manchester, 2019-2023). Her most recent publication is Reading With The Burneys: Patronage, Paratext, and Performance (Cambridge University Press, 2024). She is General Editor of the Burney Journal.
